Caitlin Joycesmith, MSW

Director of Advancement

With a social work career rooted in building organizational capacity to meet community needs and bolstering nonprofit growth and resilience, Caitlin holds an MSW from Loyola University Chicago and a B.A. in Psychology and Women and Gender Studies from Warren Wilson College in Asheville, North Carolina. 

Since entering the nonprofit field through AmeriCorps VISTA over a decade ago, she has worked in collaborative teams to design community-based social service programs for youth, adults, and families and has focused on nonprofit resource development, gaining diverse channels of revenue for Chicago-area human service agencies. Caitlin previously held positions as an Adjunct Professor at Loyola University’s School of Social Work and as a therapist in a private practice. She has also worked within several different area nonprofits as well as consulted on fundraising and strategic planning across a broad spectrum of mission-driven organizations.

With an ardent belief in empathy as a tool for transformational change and a passion for strengthening community and belonging, Caitlin is an advocate for cultivating equity and access to mental health.
