NAMI Basics
NAMI Basics
NAMI Basics is a 6-session program for parents, caregivers and other family who provide care for youth (ages 22 and younger) who are experiencing mental health symptoms. Diagnoses discussed in the class include childhood onset of bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, depression, ADD, ADHD, anxiety disorders, OCD and eating disorders.
What Will You Gain?
You’ll learn the facts about mental health conditions and how best to support your child at home, at school and when they’re getting medical care. Last year, 99% of participants told us they would recommend the program to other parents.
With NAMI Basics On Demand, you’ll find out that you’re not alone. Recovery is a journey, and there is hope. There is an interactive component to the program and you will learn from other parents along the way.
