Shelly Lustrup joined NAMI Metro Suburban in July 2016 as Director of Recovery Support Services. Shelly oversees adult recovery programming, including the Drop-in Center, Living Room Programs, and Individual Placement and Support program.
She is also a community contact for local hospital partnerships, collaborating to enhance NAMI presence in programming and creating a bridge to community-based services for patients post discharge.
Shelly is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota and Bachelor's Degree in Child Psychology with a minor in Sociology from the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities. The majority of Shelly's early career was spent assisting individuals experiencing homelessness secure housing and connect with substance use and mental health support. She has a passion for community based, non profit work- understanding the importance of affordable and compassionate care for all.
